Week 12 report: Good news!
It would seem that while reponders sometimes reach undetectable viral loads by Week 12, my has not done so ... yet.
Nonetheless, I give God all of the praise and honor and glory that my viral load is at 1,170, which is by far the lowest it has been since being diagnosed in 2000. Dr. Scott said that definitely classifies me as a responder, which is an answer to prayer.
His main concern was whether I was able to handle the side effects. While the side effects (including some I hadn't counted on) are present, in my mind they are minimal in comparison to what some people have experienced. That, too, is an answer to prayer.
With that in mind, I will be continuing the treatment and we will be rechecking the viral load in another 12 weeks.
Thanks be to God for the prayers of his saints, and that the God we serve answers prayer.

Hi Buzz, I was delighted to hear your good news. I started my tx yesterday and only hope and pray that I too will have good news in 12 weeks time.

Man am I glad to hear from you! I`d assumed the week 12 results were a bummer as you hadn`t posted.
