Week 38, minus 10 days ...

I did what would be equivalent of Week 38's shot on Sunday and had the most minimal of side-effects today. In fact, last week I probably felt the best I have in a long, long time. I had more energy, a greater sense of well-being ... well, you get the picture.

Dr. Lytle, the surgeon who did my biopsy and whom I've known for many years, says it's the Prednisone. It makes some people grouchy; for me, I only get more chatty and energized. I guess that's a good thing, but you probably need to ask my family, colleagues and congregation.

I go to see Dr. Scott on Tuesday ... an appointment that I thought had been moved until about 10 days down the road; however, they called today and said I'm on tap for Tuesday. Plus, Schering-Plough has asked Dr. Scott's office for information on where I am in my treatment, etc. The Be-In-Charge nurses are aware that I had treatment-interruptus and I've probably been flagged, since I have now resumed treatment.

Meanwhile, the Prednisone has seemed to greatly diminish the edema and appears to have had a positive impact on the cellulitis as well. Hope it continues to knock that stuff out.

Grace and peace ...

Buzz it is good news you are back on the poisons, the chances keep getting better. Good news about the swelling too. Very best wishes.
