Week 4: Shot day and getting ready to return to The Daily Times

Well, in a few hours I will be readying for my fourth shot. We're using the Redipen tonight. I took the script to Walgreen's on Saturday and asked them to fill the next month's with the syringe pack rather than the Redipen. I'm going to watch Nurse Amy go through the motions and may even try one myself during the next month. We'll then go back the Redipen and I'll go through the same with that method. I'm trying to learn both so if I have to do it myself at some point I'll be able to do so.

The big challenge over the next 24-48 hours is that I will be returning to the 1:30 p.m.-10 p.m. shift at The Daily Times beginning Monday. I will also be attempting to return to my weekly Lectionary meeting with fellow pastors. I've already given my boss the head's up that if the side-effects hit me in the afternoon I may have to disappear for an hour or so to lay down over at Broadway UMC, across the street. (Guess I better let Pastor Dan know that, too!)

All in all, I still feel pretty solid about it. One day at a time; one day at a time.

Grace and peace ...
