A knotty predicament?
OK, I'm writing this not so much out of concern, but that I might have a record.
As I've noted, I believe the prednisone has done a pretty good job of eliminating the cellulitis and edema. In addition, most if not all of the "knots" that were diagnosed as erythema nodusum had disappeared. A few knots were still there: a pebble-size knot on the underside of my left thigh that showed up late in the game; one on the outside of my left leg, about two inches above the ankle . About a day or so ago, I noticed I had knots located near both of my elbows, also sites of previous knots. This morning, I discovered two on my right knee to right of where the biopsy was done. These, too, are the sites of previous knots.
So, the question is this: Have they always been there and I'm just now noticing them, or are they re-emerging? Well, that's one of the reasons I keep this blog: So I can track what's happening to my body during treatment. I'll just have to keep watching, and blogging, so I can give Dr. Scott a clear picture on my next visit.
Grace and peace ...
