I penned my first newspaper columns sometime in the early 1980s while working at the Johnson City Press-Chronicle. They were Op-Ed pieces, ranging from nuclear proliferation to conspiracy theories involving the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission.
It wasn't until after my Christian conversion experience in 1985 that I began writing faith and culture pieces. It was while working at The Knoxville (TN) Journal, which ceased daily publication in 1992, that I began to muse and pontificate on a variety of subjects, ranging from personal experience to religious, political and social topics.
Admittedly, some of those opinions are not held in the same regard today; after all, when one grows, one changes -- or, at least, hopefully so. Note: The rebuilding of this site is a work in progress, so some columns may not be linked as of yet.
